FT-2000 Issue List

This is an attempt to map all the issues with the rig and to hopefully find out what may be quality issues and what may be design issues. The intention with the list is also to create an easy way for FT-2000 owners to check whether potential issues have been discovered by others.

Let's keep the list constructive. Please only report issues that are relevant to the specs of the radio. I.e. design faults and other issues that makes the radio not meet its specs. This is not meant to be a wish list for features.

Please follow these simple steps (if you have suggestions for different or additional guidelines, please let me know):

1) Make sure you have the latest firmware before posting. Firmware and info is available at www.yaesu.com 

2) Create a new file for each issue.

3) Please check the list first to avoid duplicate entries.

4) If you have anything to add to a specific issue, create a saparate file but try to keep the file name the same. If it makes sense, I can then append the files later to keep the list tidy.

5) Mention in the file roughly when your rig was made (by looking at the serial number).

Serial number format is  YMLLUUUU

Y is the last digit of the year
M is the month where:
C = January
D = February
E = March
F = April
G = May
H = June
I = July
J = August
K = September
L = October
M = November
N = December
LL       is the lot number 
CPU is default programmed by lot number & service bulletins are also referenced by lot number, not date
UUUU is the unit number within the lot.
